So that’s it! A New Year! Time to get the TV on then.
- 0925 ITV1 – Here’s an early morning treat; a film about a giant dog and another about drug dealers and men getting blown up in decompression chambers. Yeah
- 1100 BBC1 – See this? This is a forgotten family classic, one of the best of the nineties. Lee Evans and Nathan Lane make an incredible team in this absolute hoot of a comedy
- 1100 Film4 – Or there is this, a modern animation classic, at once hysterical and utterly absurd. Amazing film
- 1330 BBC1 – Another great animated film! Wallace & Gromit just about make the transfer to a full feature length film, thanks to a madcap story and some great voice acting
- 1730 BBC1 – It’s not a classic but, on it’s release, it was easily the best of the 3D Non-Pixar Disney films, ignoring Smily Miley Cyrus The Virus
- 1900 BBC3 – Now HERE’S a treat! A Pixar night! One of their very best, one of there other best, one of their best shorts and a nice little documentary about the rest. Superb
- 2010 BBC1 – Here’s the return of one of the best series to come out last year, hopefully it will maintain the quality of the first and third episode and not the ropey second one. Fingers crossed!
- 2300 More4 – And what better way to end the night than with Dave Gorman’s superb adventure through the medium of Google. Hilarious stuff.
