Christmas TV Strategy Guide – Introduction

Right. Christmas. Time for good cheer, festive fun, yadda yadda yadda.

Christmas is also about this:

The worst thing is there isn't actually a Wallace and Gromit show this year. Boo etc.

The Bible of Christmas TV. It’s a big thick TV guide that, to be honest, with our hectic 24/7 cross social media lifestyles we haven’t got time to read.

Which is why we’re here.

Over the next few days we will be posting the choice cuts of the TV treats available over the Christmas season. The following ground rules should be mentioned;

1) This is assuming that you have somekind of Digital Video Recorder, be it Sky Plus or BT Vision or Virgin V Plus or one of those Freeview ones. If you haven’t got one, it’s the 21st Century, sort yourself out.

2) I will be assuming that your DVD collection has been stolen, your DVD/Blu Ray player has broken, you have no internet to download movies, LoveFilm has banned you and you have no friends so you can’t go round to their house to watch any films.

3) This will be based on Freeview channels only as I haven’t got Sky so I don’t care about those. Movie channels have ruined Christmas anyway, remember we used to get the big TV Film premieres at Christmas? Yeah, thanks for getting rid of those Sky, no one liked them anyway.

4) BBC4, Fiver and Five US will also be ignored for the most part as I can’t get good reception on them. Sorry.

So there we go. Grab your remote, bring up your Electronic Program Guide and get ready to set some recordings!
