The Christmas TV Strategy Guide 2015 – December 19th
0900 – MovieMix – Start the day off with a double header of mid-80s Don Bluth animation
1100 – Film 4 – Bluth not your thing? Here’s some Ghibli for you, may not the best but even mid card Ghibli is a great watch
1140 – 5star – Fancy a bit of Kurt Russell versus Egyptian alien dudes? Here you go
1355- BBC1 – Modern Muppets can be a tricky thing but you can’t fault the heart of this film. Great songs as well
1430 – BBC2 – Can it get more 80s than this film? Looking at Hanks’ hair probably not
1710 – BBC1 – CGI Aardman is a bit hit and miss but this hits the mark especially at Christmas
1830 – Dave – Ah, early 90s Harrison Ford. What a time it was to be alive
1830 – ITV2 – A stone cold Christmas classic
1835 – BBC2 – It may not be as good as watching an actual proper episode but any Eric and Ernie is worth watching
1835 – ITV1 – The Hobbit felt like a film that didn’t need to be made, more like one to make the box sets look a bit better on the shelf. Still fun but a bit too dragged out
1915 – MovieMix – One for people who want to plumb the darkest of the deepest depths
2030 – ITV4 – This is some triple header from ITV4; a Jackie Chan film with THAT scene with the stepladder, Stallone teaming with Al Qaeda and one of Guttenberg’s finest
2230 – C4 – I’m not saying it’s perfect, but this is an interesting stab at a definitive comic. Great opening credits as well
2255 – MovieMix – It’s a bit ropey in parts, but then proper chilling in others. A frustrating but worthy watch
0255 – MovieMix – Always end the day with a Judge Reinhold body swap comedy
