The Christmas TV Strategy Guide 2015 – December 21st
0935 – BBC1 – A pure slice of 80s family adventure fun
1035 – Five – A great take on a Dahl story with some top drawer stop motion animation
1100 – Film4 – More Ghibli goodness, this is of the mid-range films but still has a great story with some fantastic art design including the eponymous castle
1345 – BBC1 – A perfect film
1545 – ITV3 – Goldie Hawn’s best film of the 90s? Wouldn’t be hard. A hoot of a film with some great special efects
1655 – ITV4 – One of the last of the original cheesy 80s era Hanks before he became a proper actor, with a proper dark mean streak down the middle of it
1855 – Five – Get this on season record now; nothing says Christmas like a load of big fellas picking up heavy stuff
2100 – Horror – A superb Carpenter, one of his Apocalypse Trilogy and genuinely unsettling in places
2100 – ITV4 – See Eastwood define action movies for the next decade
0010 – ITV4 – A film noise dressed up as a druggy shaggy dog tale around LA. It has its detractors but you can’t argue with the quality of the craft behind this film
