The Christmas TV Strategy Guide 2019 – December 25th
1020 – 5star – Get those presents unwrapped quick so you can get on this Comedy Arnie Double Bill, in fact both of his films with Danny Devito and, if we’re honest, probably the best way round to watch them
1100 – BBC1 – More Wallce and Gromit goodness
1245 – Film4 – Listen, not saying it’s a classic but Horton has a great heart to it and is well worth your time. And then watch Tom Hanks with a dog
1335 – ITV4 – If you really wanted to you could very easily spend all day watching ITV4 with this spread of films running the full gamut; from Newman and Redford in their prime, full bore Hollywood Golden Era classic, Stallone punching people and Tremors. What a day
1435 – Channel 4 – Two top notch family films, even if the second one is pretty much a remake of it’s predecessor
1510 – BBC1 – When Pixar get it right they’re pretty much untouchable even when it coms to sequels
1900 – BBC2 – Yeah, it’s a compilation but it doesn’t get more Christmas than this
2030 – BBC2 – Back to back Dolly? Yes please
2100 – 5 Spike – Nothing is more Christmassy than JCVD roundhouse kicking people right in the face
2100 – More4 – Interesting looking documentary about the glory days of the Beatles
2130 – Channel 5 – More unseen footage of a classic double act, this time from a show they did in Australia, hopefully it won’t be too familiar but even then it’ll be worth a watch
2300 – Horror – End your Christmas Day with a Hammer double bill with two of their very best
2310 – Film4 – More late night fun on Film4, with what remains probably the best of the mainstream De Niro movies then a proper scary film
2315 – BBC1 – If the Two Ronnies show earlier wasn’t enough for you then have some more with this show
