1110 – Channel 5 – You want more classic musicals to start your day with? Here’s two of them for you
1230 – Channel 4 – In places this is a very strange film but that doesn’t make it a bad film and is well worth watching to compare to the Cinematic Universe that would follow it later in the decade
1230 – Sony Movies – A nice pick and mix of films here, stop motion goodness to full on epic widescreen goodness then a 90s horror thriller that does for spiders what Spielberg did for the sea
1350 – BBC1 – What a film, taking the improving on the second film but also managing to get close to the greatness of the original
1510 – Channel 4 – Lets be clear, this isn’t a good film but boy it’s one I just can’t help watching
1550 – BBC1 – Prequels are hard enough at the best of time, but a prequel to Monsters Inc actually made sense considering the ending of that film, and Pixar just about pull it off with this film. It somehow manages to retain what made the first film good but also explore new wrinkles of the world. A treat
1630 – 5 Spike – More great stop motion greatness here, as long as that first one is the original Clash and not the one with Liam Neeson. FIngers crossed!
1650 – Horror – Think this should have been classed as stop motion day as here’s another one for you, then more Hammer goodness
2000 – BBC4 – Yes, it’s not for all of you but I’m someone will appreciate this trip along the rails
2100 – Film4 – Now I love Ghostbusters so was looking forward to this film which was unfairly attacked by, lets be honest, idiots. With a bit os distance we can see that the film doesn’t quite hit it’s potential but there is some great stuff in here
2100 – ITV2 – Weird to think how this film series started; a pretty straight forward crime films ends up here with Jason Statham rescuing babies from planes. Madness
