The Christmas TV Strategy Guide 2019 – December 31st
0605 – Channel 4 – If you’re up this early again then you may as well watch the sequel, right?
0930 – BBC1 – This is probably the best Aardman feature length film probably due to it’s great conceit of casting hens on a farm as a WWII style prison camp escape movie
1905 – Sony Movies – What looked to be a bit of a career misstep looks, with hindsight, more like an interesting choice of films veering away from the usual mainstream fare both leads were doing at the time
2000 – ITV1 – Much like Quantum, this film suffers from having to follow the top drawer film that proceeded it. Is it a bad film? No, it’s just by the numbers with even Big Dave Bautista struggling to pull the film up to his level
2100 – ITV4 – More interesting 90s fare with what we can probably class as an unneeded sequel then a proper by the book 90s thriller, a description which will either excite you or turn you off straight away
2210 – BBC4 – Oh yeah, it’s New Year isn’t it? And this is how you see it in, with Vic and Bob and all of their daftness
0200 – BBC1 – Once you’re past the fireworks and that, get some pure 90s action in your face
0235 – Talking Pictures – This is a good film, but I’d almost recommend firing up the iPlayer and digging out the original TV series from the archive section. But, at this time of night, thats a lot of thought and effort so probably easier to just watch the film
